LINC Foods offers online marketplace in response to COVID-19

LINC Foods, an area farmers cooperative, recently launched an online marketplace that offers locally grown food.

The online marketplace has a variety of produce, eggs, meat, dairy and grains, according to a company release.

“In a time where our local farmers and our community are struggling with the impacts of COVID-19, LINC is hoping to create a safe and easy way to access fresh and healthy food that also supports local agriculture,” Dan Jackson, LINC’s director of sales said in a statement.

Customers can place an order through the LINC Foods website and pick it up at locations in Spokane and Spokane Valley.

LINC will operate a mobile pickup site 3:30.-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays near 29th Avenue and Grand Boulevard on the South Hill. It will also offer a pickup site 3:30 -4:30 p.m. Fridays near Gonzaga’s McCarthey Center. Order pickup is available both days at LINC’s warehouse in the Spokane Business and Industrial Park in Spokane Valley.

LINC will be following social distancingprotocols at the pickup sites by maintaining a 6 foot distance and asking customers to approach the station one at a time.
