Spokane-based Vestis Systems, a supplier of commercial awnings and canopies, is producing clear, vinyl protective barriers for local businesses implementing COVID-19 social distancing measures.

Vestis Systems is providing one shield free of charge to local businesses, according to a company release.

“With so many businesses affected by COVID-19, we started to think about how we could help our community and give back,” Dan McGee, general manager at Vestis, said in a statement.

“The last thing we want them worried about is the safety and well-being of their employees and customers. We think this will be a good solution for companies trying to make their storefronts and lobbies more inviting to shoppers during these challenging times.”

Additional shields start at $199 and include materials and installation, according to the release.
