Bio: Top-ranked recruit in the 2021 class according to 247sports and ESPN. Highest ranked recruit in Gonzaga history, edging out his former AAU and Minnehaha Academy teammate Jalen Suggs. Played on four Minnesota state championship teams at Minnehaha. Named player of the year by Gatorade, Naismith and MaxPreps Player of the Year. Named to McDonald's All-American roster, but game wasn't played due to COVID-19 pandemic. Averaged 21 points, 12.3 rebounds, 4.7 blocks and 4.5 assists as a senior while earning Minnesota Mr. Basketball honors. Finished prep career with 1,567 points, 964 rebounds and 456 blocks. Minnehaha compiled 128-15 record during his career. Earned gold medal and was named tournament MVP as Team USA won the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup in Latvia. Averaged 11.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 blocks.
