Rep. Matt Shea billed for damage from olive oil

After State Rep. Matt Shea (R-Spokane Valley) poured olive oil on the steps of the state Capitol March 6, 2020, the Department of Enterprise Services billed Shea $4700 for cleaning up the oil, which was probably poured out during a religious ceremony. The department oversees the campus in Olympia. Shea was leading a group of supporters in a counter demonstration to that of a Satanic church earlier that same day. There is no video of Shea pouring out the oil, but authorities say he did it and should pay for the cleanup. Read the story here.
