ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVE PHOENIX

Fly to Phoenix and meet your Tour Director. Visit Old Town Scottsdale where Western storefronts create an aura of the past. Transfer to your hotel for a five-night stay in the Valley of the Sun. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your fellow travelers.

(D) Overnight: Phoenix area

DAY 2: PHOENIX SIGHTSEEING & SPRING TRAINING GAME

This morning enjoy a panoramic Phoenix City Tour featuring Downtown Phoenix and Paradise Valley. This afternoon attend a Spring Training Baseball Game. Each Spring, Arizona plays host to the Cactus League which features 15 Major League Baseball teams preparing for Opening Day. Return to your hotel for an evening at your own pace.

(B) Overnight: Phoenix area

DAY 3: TUCSON AREA SIGHTSEEING

Today travel south & embark on a day of sightseeing in the Tucson area. Visit Saguaro National Park, named for the large saguaro cactus native to its desert environment. Stop at the Visitor Center and travel into the west park area boasting large stands of saguaro cactus creating a breathtaking saguaro forest. Then visit the 98-acre Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, a fusion experience of zoo, botanical garden, art gallery and natural history museum. Enjoy Tucson city sightseeing featuring the Presidio Historic District, the University of Arizona and a visit to Mission San Xavier del Bac, the oldest intact European structure in Arizona & referred to as the White Dove of the Desert. Return to your hotel for an evening at your own pace.

DAY 4: DAY AT LEISURE OR OPTIONAL

The day is at leisure in Phoenix to perhaps enjoy a round of golf, go shopping, lounge by the pool or catch another Cactus League Game on your own. An Optional Excursion will be available.

DAY 5: HEARD MUSEUM & SPRING TRAINING GAME

This morning visit the popular Heard Museum of Native American Culture. Dedicated to the sensitive and accurate portrayal of Native arts and cultures, the Heard is an institution that successfully combines the stories of American Indian people from a personal perspective with the beauty of art. Later attend another Spring Training Baseball Game featuring two Cactus League teams at one of the ten Phoenix area Spring Training ballparks. This evening enjoy an Old West style Farewell Dinner at a fun filled local restaurant.

DAY 6: PHOENIX - HOME

Transfer to the airport & fly home filled with wonderful memories of your Arizona Spring Training Explorer.
