Here are the films and actors nominated Tuesday for Academy Awards
“Barbie,” “Oppenheimer” and “Killers of the Flower Moon” were among the films that scored nods for best picture when the Oscar nominations were announced Tuesday morning.
After a year that found the movie industry hobbled for months by strikes by writers and actors, the focus shifts to an especially strong slate of movies vying for a chance at Academy Awards.
The best picture nominees “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” pulled in a combined $2.3 billion at the global box office, providing some hope for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences that a good number of people will tune into the Oscars telecast on March 10.
