Browns Park in Spokane Valley vandalized again
Spokane Valley deputies are trying to identify whoever vandalized Browns Park over the weekend, leaving city parks and maintenance crews to clean it up.
Graffiti was found on the buildings and structures at the park on South Pines Road and 32nd Avenue, according to a Spokane Valley Police Department news release.
“This selfish act of vandalism is a blight on our beautiful park and must stop,” the release said.
This wasn’t the first time the park was vandalized, police said.
In 2021, someone damaged one of the park’s splash pad palm trees, according to a Spokesman-Review story at the time.
Anyone with information about the most recent vandalism at Browns Park is asked to contact Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
Police also urged people who live in the area or are passing by the park to report suspicious activity, especially when the park is closed, to Crime Check at (509) 456-2233. Park hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 15 to Oct. 15.
