Ike was right

A report from the Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University states that American wars in the Middle East and Asia (Iraq, Afghanistan, …) have cost American taxpayers 6.4 trillion dollars since 2001.

Small wonder that Congress is reluctant to spend that 3.5 trillion dollars to actually improve our lives. The Military-Industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about, has once again declared victory.
