Spokane’s Eva Roberts, Kristina Stephenson to compete on ‘Holiday Baking Championship’

Fans of Food Network’s “Holiday Baking Championship” should recognize two contestants this year, as two Spokane bakers are competing for the $25,000 prize. 

Eva Roberts, the owner of Just American Desserts, and Kristina Stephenson, the pastry chef at Northern Quest Resort and Casino, will join 10 other bakers from around the country on the upcoming season, which premieres Monday at 9 p.m. The series is hosted by Jesse Palmer and judged by Nancy Fuller, Duff Goldman and Carla Hall.

The eight-episode season, which includes challenges to make holiday wreath cakes, Hanukkah jelly doughnuts and more, concludes on Dec. 21. The winner also will be featured on the Food Network Kitchen app.

Before the finale, on Dec. 20, viewers can learn more about the competition during “Holiday Baking Championship: Secret Sweets,” during which the judges will review how each of the final four bakers got to the finale and share some behind-the-scenes info about the show.
