Drive-by shooting sends person to hospital in Moses Lake

A drive-by shooting Tuesday night in Moses Lake left the victim in grave condition, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Grant County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at Carswell and Schilling drives, near the Larson Housing area, at about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to find a black sedan with multiple bullet holes.

The victim’s car had come to a stop in the front yard of a home. The driver of the sedan had been shot.

Deputies believe the shots came from a second vehicle that sped south from the intersection.

The victim was taken to Samaritan Hospital in “grave condition,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Witnesses or citizens with information related to the shooting can call the nonemergency dispatch at (509) 762-1160.
