MultiCare announces expansion of heart institute

MultiCare’s Pulse Heart Institute will expand in August 2020 with the addition of 10 physicians and their staff from Kootenai Heart Clinics Northwest.

The new staff will nearly double the number of employees at MultiCare’s heart institute.

“This is an exciting day for a lot of us at Heart Clinics Northwest,” Dr. Stephen Thew of Heart Clinics Northwest said in a news release. “The Pulse Heart Institute at MultiCare has built a reputation for high-quality care. By joining their team, we will give people across the region access to some of the most sophisticated facilities and treatments available.”

The new hires will allow MultiCare to expand its geographic reach beyond Spokane County.
