Man killed in 3-vehicle crash north of Bigelow Gulch Road

A driver was killed Monday morning in a head-on crash on Argonne Road.

A Ford pickup was heading south on North Argonne Road just north of Bigelow Gulch Road at about 6:40 a.m. when the driver crossed the center line and hit a Honda sedan, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office reported in a news release.

The Ford rolled and then struck a GMC pickup.

The man driving the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene. He will be identified by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later date.

The man driving the Ford was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies determined he was the driver who caused the crash and obtained a search warrant for a blood sample to determine if he was impaired at the time.

The driver of the GMC was treated on scene and did not appear to be injured, the Sheriff’s Office said.
