New convenience store considered for downtown Spokane

A new convenience store could be coming to the northeast corner of Post Street and Riverside Avenue in downtown Spokane.

Vik Singh filed an application with the city last week to renovate more than 2,800 square feet on the lower floor at 726 W. Riverside Ave. for a convenience store with a deli and kitchen area.

Global Credit Union sold the building to GVD Commercial Properties Inc. for $2 million in January, according to the Spokane County Assessor’s Office.

GVD Commercial Properties is a Spokane-based real estate development investment and management company founded by Jerry Dicker in 1974.
