Cancel elections?

I am writing to refute Mr. Machala’s response (“What are we doing?” March 19) to the coronavirus to “just cancel the November election.” ??

This to me is the most ludicrous statement that any person could even come up with.

Voting is a mainstay of our democratic republic, and not to have the elections is more of what an autocratic, dictator shootout of government demands.

I am sure there are people that would think that would be hunky-dory to allow Trump to have another FOUR years free and clear. This would not even be fair and most certainly unconstitutional to say the least.

Voting is one of our most fundamental given rights and we should NEVER ALLOW elections to be done away with.
