Idaho boys state: Post Falls downs Rocky Mountain, advances to 5A title game

Colby Gennett and Alex Horning scored 20 points apiece and Post Falls beat Rocky Mountain in a Idaho 5A State semifinal game Friday at the Ford Center in Nampa.

Cole Rutherford added 17 points for the Trojans (22-3). Cooper Frith led the Grizzlies (25-2) with 15 points, and Briggs Ranstrom added 13.

Post Falls will face defending champion Borah in the championship game at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Rigby 72, Lake City 53: Britton Berrett scored 18 points and the Trojans (23-2) eliminated the Timberwolves (16-10) in a 5A consolation game in Nampa.

Kolton Mitchell led Lake City with 19 points, and Varick Meredith added nine.

Bryce Uffens and Keegan Thompson added 14 points apiece for Rigby.

Moscow 63, Kuna 60: Brayden Decker scored 17 points and the Bears (16-9) beat the Kavemen (18-8) in a 4A semifinal game in Boise.

Blake Buchanan added 15 points for Moscow.

The Bears play Preston in the championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Ford Center in Nampa.

Kellogg 56, Homedale 48: Graden Nearing scored 22 points and the Wildcats (16-7) beat the Trojans (12-13) in a 3A consolation-round game in Meridian.

Taylor Bush and Tyler Oertli added eight points apiece for Kellogg, which plays Snake River at 8:15 a.m. Saturday. TODAY IN PRINT

West Side 61, St. Maries 41: Bryler Shurtliff scored 17 points and the Pirates (22-3) topped the Lumberjacks (18-6) in a 2A semifinal game in Boise.

Brett Stancil led St. Maries with nine points.

The Lumberjacks face Cole Valley in the third-place game at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Lakeside 76, Dietrich 59: Talon Twoteeth scored 24 points and the Knights (23-0) beat the Blue Devils (18-8) in the 1AD2 semifinals in Caldwell.

Kenyon Spotted Horse and Day Day Higgins added 15 points apiece for Lakeside, which plays Cascade in the title game Saturday at 8:30 a.m. at the Ford Center in Nampa.
