Marriott has opened a new 109-room hotel at Spokane International Airport.

The four-story SpringHill Suites by Marriott is at 8967 W. Airport Drive, about 14 minutes from downtown Spokane, according to a company news release.

“Our all-suite offering and convenient amenities provide guests a little extra to help them enjoy their stay,” Janis Milham, a senior vice president at Marriott International, said in the release.

The $10 million hotel offers suites that are larger-than-typical hotel rooms, including sofas that convert to beds. Guests are provided complimentary breakfast as well as a barand lounge that serves lunch and dinner.

The hotel is on a 2.6-acre site near the airport terminals, just north of the two parking garages between the exit plaza and outbound Airport Drive.

“Whether traveling for business or pleasure, we understand that guests want to connect to the local area and we help them do that with our local expertise,” Milham said.

The SpringHill Suites is managed by Tharaldson Hospitality Management, based in Decatur, Illinois.

Tharaldson Hospitality plans to lease the land from the airport for 30 years, with one 20-year renewal option. Led by businessman Gary Tharaldson, the hospitality management company owns and operates more than 30 hotels in 14 states, with several properties scheduled to open this year.
