Here’s Cathy

I’m writing in response to Dorothy Stoffel’s July 7 letter titled “Where is Cathy?”

My question to Ms. Stoffel and those responsible for publishing this is, do you read the Spokesman-Review?

These are all recent headlines published about Cathy and her work for Eastern Washington in Congress.

“McMorris Rodgers bill would speed dam licensing, designate hydropower as ‘renewable’”

“McMorris Rodgers weighs in on Trump’s spat with Twitter, Congress’s role”

“Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers: Counties need ‘more flexibility’ to reopen during coronavirus response”

“Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers expects Congress to hold scam phone call oversight hearings amid coronavirus pandemic”

The Spokesman also covered that she opposes visa changes impacting international students, that she attended peaceful protests downtown, that she advocated for our farmers with Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue during his visit to Spokane, that she spoke with Dr. Fauci about a COVID19 vaccine during a congressional hearing, that she’s working to expand rural broadband, that she voted for emergency relief for our community in response to the pandemic, and that she’s leading for Spokane to be home to America’s Space Force command. There’s plenty more examples too, like her interview with the Spokesman’s Northwest Passages Video Forum.

In short, if you aren’t sure where Cathy is, I recommend reading the local news in the paper.
