A brush fire that burned buildings on Fairchild Air Force Base and closed roads near Medical Lake earlier this week has been fully contained, firefighters say.

The Bartholomew Road fire burned 310 acres and four buildings, according to a news release from the Department of Natural Resources. All evacuations in the area have been lifted after crews complete mop up around the fire Saturday, despite high winds throughout the day.

Local firefighters will continue to monitor the fire. Its cause is under investigation.
