If you’re looking for someone to spend quarantine with or someone to hit the town with once the pandemic is over, consider attending Drive-In Theater Speed Dating at Hayden Discount Cinema next Wednesday.

Yes, you read that right: speed dating at a drive-in theater.

Here’s how it works: Men will park in every other parking spot, staying in the driver’s seat of their vehicle the entire time. Women will sit in a chair placed outside the passenger side of each vehicle.

During each date, a movie preview will be played on the screen. Once the preview is over, about every 2½ minutes, women will move to another vehicle.

After each date, participants fill out their dating ballots. If connections are made, the new couples can enjoy a classic film starting at 9 p.m. Concessions will be available.

Masks are encouraged, and participants must be 18 or older.

Hayden Discount Cinema is located at 300 W. Centa Drive, Hayden. Tickets are $15 and available through Eventbrite. The event begins at 7 p.m.
