Stays worsen problem

Governor Inslee’s stay on evictions, in my opinion, was the same as seizure of private party. Tenants are not working with landlords — they just are simply not paying anything. The attitude of one of my tenants is, “I don’t have to pay.”

The minute the governor and Spokane mayor’s eviction stay is lifted, a lot of tenants will be homeless. Renters, having not paid anything towards their rent, will have balances going back a few months. This landlord is not working out any payment plans for back rent. Let the state of Washington and Spokane pay their back rent which would allow government to accept financial responsibly.

These eviction stays, I believe, will make the homeless problem far, far, worse than it is now.
