Plastic bag ban

Governor Inslee’s ban on plastic grocery bags starting in January 2021 is simply silly. It’s as if the person in line in front of me just climbed up on the grocery checkout counter, rolled around with their reusable bags and spread whatever germs might be on those bags. That’s what our Governor is saying by signing this bill into law.

Simply pushing the start date out to next January puts it right in the middle of the next virus season. It’s a law that needs to reconsidered and tabled for the foreseeable future. Those who say just buy an $0.08 paper bag; that also comes with implications people wanting the plastic bag ban need to consider too.

This entire bill is in direct contrast to everything our governor is doing/saying/signing with respect to COVID-19.
