Punishing students

I recently found out that teachers from Spokane schools are not “allowed” to send out materials covering “new” coursework to home-bound students for “equity” reasons. Meaning, that because some parents cannot or will not actively participate in their children’s learning at home during this mandated school closure, ALL students will suffer and fall behind because they will not be given the materials needed to keep them on track academically. What is State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Rykdal doing to remedy this?

I don’t know about anyone else, but given the amount of taxes I’m paying that go to the school districts, I find this practice absolutely abhorrent.
