This week in comedy: Joe Machi, Alvin Williams, Mark Curry, Brad Williams and more

In need of a good laugh? You’re in luck as comedy shows are happening practically every night this week.

If you missed his set Thursday, stop by the Spokane Comedy Club tonight for the second of Joe Machi’s two shows in town.

Machi, who finished fourth on the eighth season of “Last Comic Standing,” has performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Conan” and won the 2013 New York Comedy Festival’s Funniest Comedian competition and the 2010 New York Underground Comedy Festival’s Emerging Comics competition. If you’re in Coeur d’Alene, stop by the Coeur d’Alene Inn for Comedy Night at the Inn for back-to-back shows.

On Friday, Leeann Tooker and Harry J. Riley will open for Alvin Williams. On Saturday, John Roy will perform. Phillip Kopczynski will host both nights. Also on Saturday, actor/comedian Mark Curry will headline the Spokane Comedy Club. Curry is known for “Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “See Dad Run.” (7:30 and 10 p.m. Saturday, Spokane Comedy Club, $20-$28 through spokanecomedyclub.com)

Saturday also finds comedian Luke Bohn, who recently performed on NBC’s “Bring the Funny,” headlining Bridge Press Cellars. This weekend also marks the monthly Dope Show at the Spokane Comedy Club. If you’ve never been, touring comedians perform a set, get high, then try to perform again. Results vary. (7:30 p.m. Sunday, Spokane Comedy Club, $14.20-$22 through spokanecomedyclub.com)

On Monday, head to Sandpoint to catch Owen Benjamin, who has appeared in “The House Bunny” and “Sullivan and Son,” as well as “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon and in his own two Comedy Central specials. Finally, head back to the Spokane Comedy Club on Thursday for the first night of Brad Williams’ three nights in town.
