Nadine breaks the cycle

Anyone who has spent time downtown has noticed the rapid increase in the number of homeless people on the streets. Ben Stuckart says if “somebody’s drowning next to me on the outside of my boat, I pull them out of the water.” This may seem like a fix, but it’s not addressing the root of the problem.

Nadine understands that in order to pull someone out of the boat, we must also offer the resources needed so that they don’t fall back in the water. Nadine believes in effective compassion and addressing the issues that lead to homelessness are the only way to manage this issue.

I want a mayor who works to help individuals break the cycle, not just sugarcoat what got them there in the first place.
