Downtown music venue the Bartlett to close Nov. 8

The Bartlett, a downtown staple for local, regional and national musicians since it opened six years ago, will host its last show Nov. 8. Co-owners Caleb and Karli Ingersoll announced the news in a Facebook post.

“It is with very full hearts that we announce we will be closing The Bartlett this fall,” the pair wrote. “The only explanation we can give is that it’s time for us to move on. 6 years of magic, laughter, new friends, old friends, disappointments, challenges and an unbelievable amount of incredible live music …

“We’ve put so much into this little club. We love it so dearly and can’t imagine life without it. But we’ve also put so much thought and time into this decision and we appreciate your respect and understanding.

“We know this will be a hard blow to a lot of you who have been regular patrons for years. We LOVE you all so much. Your support of live music and specifically of The Bartlett will be something we will never forget.”

The Ingersolls go on to write they are gathering together friends for a farewell show Nov. 8.

The Ingersolls opened Lucky You Lounge at 1801 W. Sunset Blvd. earlier this year. Lucky You Lounge is a 320-person capacity venue for ages 21 and older that features two stages, a restaurant and a bar.

It is open seven nights a week, even when there isn’t a show, and there are free shows Thursdays through Saturdays on the basement stage.
