Lesser investigation

I read the Spokane Police Guild filing public records request story regarding the Lesser investigation with great interest (“Police Guild files public records request,” Aug. 25).

For starters, it seems imperative that Police Ombudsman Bart Logue needs to emulate Caesar’s wife, and must be beyond suspicion. But based on very questionable past behavior, Logue is not within a million miles of that standard.

As for Brian Breen, I have just one question: who died and made you King of Law Enforcement?

I do want to compliment the S-R’s thorough and equitable reporting on this matter.

Finally, the general public needs to understand the hard decisions any police officer has to make in the field, and the consequences that they have to live with forever.
