Website ranks Schweitzer Mountain Resort third among nation’s ski resorts for affordability
Schweitzer Mountain Resort is among the most affordable ski resorts in the country, according to vacation rental search engine HomeToGo.
HomeToGo named Schweitzer as the third most affordable ski resort nationwide in its annual ski price index, which ranks the top 50 ski destinations in the United States and Canada.
“It’s really nice to be recognized as being a great value for a destination resort,” Schweitzer spokeswoman Dig Chrismer said. “We think with our hotel, new lifts, restaurants and amenities that we offer, it really is a good value when you look at the price point. For people who want to have a true resort experience, they can find it here.”
HomeToGo factored in the cost of equipment rental, price of a one-day lift ticket, lunch and overnight accommodations at each resort for the 2019-2020 ski season.
Schweitzer’s one-day cost for skiing is $239.67, while Bolton Valley Resort in Vermont topped the list as most affordable in the nation with a one-day cost of $206.58, followed by the Mission Ridge Ski & Board Resort in Wenatchee with a cost of $227.47.
The Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado was named the country’s most expensive ski resort with a one-day cost of $597.81.
Privately owned and operated Schweitzer Mountain Resort has with more than 7,000 acres of property. Schweitzer announced plans in July to build a 30-unit boutique hotel adjacent to the existing Selkirk Lodge, with a restaurant, meeting space, exercise area and underground parking for guests.
