CHAS Health plans upgrade to two clinics
CHAS Health is renovating both its Iron Bridge and North Maple Street clinics, according to permits issued by the city.
The work will remodel 35,000 square feet at the Iron Bridge location, 611 N. Iron Bridge Way, at a cost of $3.1 million. The renovation of 4,400 square feet at its Maple Street Clinic, 3919 N. Maple St., is valued at $650,000.
CHAS, formerly called the Community Health Association of Spokane, offers medical, dental and pharmaceutical services for those in need and serves people who don’t have insurance or source of income to pay for medical needs.
In 2018, the nonprofit group served more than 84,000 people in Spokane and the Lewis-Clark Valley, where Lewiston and Clarkston are located. It has 17 clinics and health centers in the region.
The renovation project was designed by ALSC Architects, of Spokane. The contractor is Baker Construction, also of Spokane.
