Author Urrea visits Palouse this week
Bestselling author Luis Alberto Urrea will be visiting the Palouse this week for Everybody Reads.
Urrea’s book, “The House of Broken Angels,” is this year’s selection for the community reading program. The novel, which was inspired by the death of his brother, follows a Mexican-American family in San Diego, giving a close-up look at their daily lives.
Urrea will give eight talks at libraries and other locations about his book, as well as the writing process, Latino family and culture, and United States/Mexican Border issues.
