Anti-vax is costly

I wholeheartedly applaud Shawn Vestal’s column, “Everyone pays price for non-vaccination,” (March 17) on all of us sharing the risk and the high cost of anti-vaxxers when treating measles, mumps and whooping cough usually at taxpayers’ expense.

Too many parents want to privatize their decision not to immunize, only to socialize the medical bills that come later through Medicaid or higher premiums for the insured.
