Waffling over time change

I’ve heard that the state legislature is considering staying on daylight saving time. They’ve voted to mull over the concept and that there will be a referendum on the November ballot. As a previous letter I wrote pointed out, representative democracy means we want our elected officials to take stands. While others might be confused about how that works, it matters.

Switching times causes problems, as multiple studies have shown. The legislature knows that, as pointed out in arguments and the vote. It’s not a difficult choice, but they don’t have the spines to do what is necessary. I don’t care if we stick to standard or daylight saving time permanently, but the elected people should figure out which is best and do it. Don’t waste time and money waffling, just do your job.
