Headed for a fall

Why do we stand so divided as a community and as a country?

In the past years, I’ve seen the worst of both sides of the political spectrum brought to light. Extreme answers on either side of an argument, and nobody seems willing to compromise. A political knife is cutting the country, and this wound may not heal easily.

We, as a people, must come together! Why should we fight amongst ourselves when there are other things more dangerous to us as a people? There’s disease outbreaks, we elect the best politicians money can buy (in both parties, mind you), and we spit venom at anyone who doesn’t have the exact same views. Words of wisdom from a man who fought for our freedom: “Together we stand, divided we fall.”

And America, I worry we are on the edge of a precipice we may not return from.
