I-90 reopened after hours-long shutdown between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene

Interstate 90 between Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene was closed in both directions Friday night for nearly three hours, starting at 7 p.m., as Idaho State Police investigated a crash.

Fairchild Air Force Base released a statement late Friday night stating three explosive ordnance disposal technicians from Fairchild had responded to an overturned semitruck in the Coeur d’Alene area to assist emergency personnel at the scene, KHQ reported. The release also stated the contracted vehicle involved in the crash did not have a direct relationship with the base.

An Idaho State Police dispatcher said he could not release any information or confirm the cause of the crash earlier in the evening.
