The Dallas Mavericks are acquiring Kelly Olynyk and Derrick Jones Jr. from the Miami Heat, according to multiple reports.

The deal is part of the sign-and-trade agreement the Heat made with the Philadelphia 76ers to land Jimmy Butler in exchange for Josh Richardson.

In order to absorb Butler’s new four-year, $143 maximum contract, Miami needed to unload additional salary. Former Gonzaga star Olynyk, 28, is on the books for potentially two more seasons for $23.8 million. He will earn $11.6 million next season and has a player option for 2020-21. He stands to make $12.2 million that season. The 7-foot Olynyk signed a four-year, $50 million deal with the Heat in 2017.

Jones, 22, has one year left on his two-year, minimum deal that he signed with Miami in 2018. He will make $1.6 million next season.
