Former Guns N’ Roses band member Steven Adler was hospitalized in Los Angeles after reportedly stabbing himself in a suspected suicide attempt.

The drummer and songwriter apparently stabbed himself in the stomach and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, TMZ.com reported.

Police confirmed some of the details to the Daily News.

“On June 27 around 6:30 p.m., L.A. Fire responded to radio call of a possible suicide attempt (at Adler’s address) in Studio City. Upon arrival, (LAPD) officers determined no crime had been committed and deemed the incident a medical emergency only,” Officer Mike Lopez said Friday.

He said a patient was transported to a local hospital.

Representatives for Adler did not respond to a request for comment.

Adler, 54, joined Guns N’ Roses in 1985 and played with Axl Rose, Duff McKagan, Slash and Izzy Stradlin on the band’s iconic debut album “Appetite for Destruction,” released in 1987.

He was kicked out of the band for his addiction to heroin and cocaine in 1990 and told Classic Rock magazine in 2005 that he’d attempted suicide during his darkest hours.

“I was very sad and lonely. My wife left me, and I didn’t blame her. It’s hard to watch someone you love trying to kill themselves. That’s what I was doing,” he told the magazine.

Adler was later inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with Guns N’ Roses in 2012.

Adler’s fans left a flood of supportive message on his social media after news of his hospitalization broke.
