Another day and another big get for the Montana Grizzlies football team, as Tuesday night it was Missoula Sentinel senior Jaxon Lee announcing on Twitter that he had verbally accepted a full ride scholarship to join the maroon and silver. Lee transferred to Sentinel this past January but but had already put his name on the map with some outstanding performances during his time on the Flint Creek 8-man football team which won back to back state titles in 2017 and 2018. The wide receiver and defensive back had an especially dominant state title performance this last year, leading the Titans to a 50-14 blowout win over Great Falls Central in the championship game. Lee racked up 246 yards rushing in that contest with three touchdowns to go with a receiving touchdown as well. Meanwhile on defense, Lee snatched up three interceptions to show off his talents on both sides of the ball. Lee has already earned five all-state awards on the gridiron as a slot receiver, defensive back and kick returner for Flint Creek, but will try and prove his athleticism at the class AA level with Sentinel in 2019. The multi-sport talent who also excelled in basketball and track in Drummond, is now the third domino to fall for the Grizzlies football program in the past five days after Carson Rostad of Hamilton and Drew Deck of Kalispell Glacier also recently made verbal commitments to the maroon and silver.
