‘Voice’ contestant Jacob Maxwell to perform at CDA Library benefit
While his May 24 show at the Hagadone Event Center acted as a homecoming concert, Coeur d’Alene native Jacob Maxwell’s next performance will benefit the Coeur d’Alene Public Library Foundation.
Maxwell, a contestant on the most recent season of NBC’s “The Voice,” will perform at the Coeur d’Alene Library on Friday. The event includes desserts, a no-host bar and a raffle.
After grabbing coach John Legend’s attention with his cover of Taylor Swift’s “Delicate,” Maxwell made it all the way to the top 24 before being eliminated.
Now back in Coeur d’Alene, Maxwell is grateful for the community’s support and is excited to return the support through this benefit concert, during which he will also share stories about his time on “The Voice.”
Looking ahead, he’s booked a headlining spot in the Live After 5 summer concert series. He’ll also be working on his first EP and hopes to collaborate with fellow “Voice” contestants in some form in the coming months.
“I’m in this process of not letting this momentum slow down quite yet and to keep going,” he told the Spokesman-Review in May. “It’s been a little chaotic but I’m definitely not going to complain about it. It’s very exciting.”
