Carroll Football Campers Making Memories

Kempson Cross SWX
Carroll College football finished up their annual youth camp at Nelson Stadium on Wednesday, June 12th. Saints head coach Troy Purcell said this event is about introducing the kids to the program’s tradition as well as making sure they have a good time. Campers like Tuff Adams said that developing skills on the same gridiron as Carroll players is a memorable experience “It’s a really cool experience to be on the field that big tough players have played on,” said Tuff Adams. Carroll College, the tradition here, the excellence here, to be able to come out in the stadium and on this grass and kind of feel the atmosphere. Just good to get them out here, get them running, and get some energy burnt off and enjoy the day and enjoy the game of football,” said Troy Purcell. “I went to this camp as a little kid and I remember looking up to the players so I love being that role model that they look up to,” said David Petersen. The Saints’ summer camp schedule continues with a brand-new “Big Man Camp” that begins Thursday, June 13th.
