Where we have strayed

As I was reading the letters in the June 1 paper, I was saddened by how far our nation has strayed from its spiritual roots. Many of the letters showed support for abortion rights. Doug Kaer (“Mueller’s truth ignored”) was right when he said that truth and politics have “absolutely nothin” in common. Linda Greene (“Critique isn’t anti-Semitic”) seems to have forgotten that Palestine was also given land, which they rejected. In fact, many Palestinian refugees were forced to live out the rest of their lives in refugee camps by their own leaders.

In closing, I will remind Ms. Bartlett (“About ‘Immaculate Conception’”) that Mary offered two birds as a sin sacrifice. She was also a sinner.
