Cold Creek fire on Hanford Reach 80% contained
The Cold Creek Fire, which has burned some 42,000 acres on the Hanford Reach National Monument since igniting on Thursday, was 80% contained as of Saturday morning and crews were in mop-up mode, according to a release from the Southeast Washington Incident Management Team.
What remained of the fire was burning in tall grass, sage, and brush. No injuries or structure damage had been reported as a result of the fire as of Saturday morning.
