Taste delayed

Taste Cafe and Fine Art, which closed its South Howard Street location in downtown Spokane at the end of July, is now planning to reopen in a new spot in March.

The popular lunch spot closed July 27, announcing its plans to reopen in fall on Facebook.

Dec. 18, Taste Cafe posted: “ The move process has taken much longer than anticipated. We expect to open in the middle of downtown in March. We look forward to providing the same delicious, distinctive offerings you’ve always enjoyed at Taste and in our catering and delivery.”

Taste is known for its soups, salads, sandwiches and cookies. It was previously located at 180 S. Howard St.

The cafe also thanked fans for their calls, cards and emails, and encouraged folks to stay in the loop by signing up for its mailing list at http://www.tastecafeandfineart.com/contact/. “We miss you,” the post said.
