Deputies on welfare check find bodies under tarp at Port Angeles home
PORT ANGELES, Wash. – Two people were found dead in the yard of a Port Angeles home after family members asked officers to do a welfare check. Officials later reported that a third body was found.
KIRO-TV reported that deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office were called to the home at about 4 p.m. Monday.
Family members of the people who live there told police they hadn’t heard from their relatives since Christmas and were concerned.
Deputies found two bodies in the yard, covered with a tarp and yard debris. Officials said Tuesday that a third body was discovered on the property.
They have yet to be identified.
The Sheriff’s Office is calling the deaths suspicious and is investigating them as homicides.
As of early Tuesday afternoon, investigators said they had just received warrants to search the property and will now begin processing the scene.
