‘Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live’ brings next generation of ‘Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood’ characters to the Fox
From 1968 to 2001, Fred Rogers, through his show “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” taught children and adults alike about friendship, music, crafts and how to deal with emotions like anger and sadness.
Eleven years after the end of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood,” an animated spin-off, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” debuted on PBS.
“Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” features the next generation of many characters that were featured in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe in “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”
Daniel is the son of Dad Tiger, who is loosely based on Daniel Striped Tiger. O the Owl is the nephew of X the Owl, and Katerina Kittycat is the daughter of Henrietta Pussycat.
In “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live,” which comes to the Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox on Friday, Daniel Tiger and his friends, including O, Miss Elaina, Prince Wednesday, Katerina and Chrissie, journey to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe to learn what it takes to be king.
There will be songs to sing, magical moments and surprise guests during the show.
