Wrestling: Led by Trent Baun and Chase Tebbets, Eastern Washington has big day at Mat Classic XXXI

Eastern Washington had a big day at Mat Classic XXXI over the weekend. Mt. Spokane won the team title in 3A and Colville took honors in 1A, with many other high finishes across the classifications. The region had 18 champions, 32 finalists and 97 placers.

Trant Baun (132) of Colville became the state’s 16th four-time boys champion and Mead’s Chase Tebbets (132) became a three-time champ. Mason Miethe (182) of Mt. Spokane won each of his matches by pin en route to a state title.
