Ben Perrin Named Gatorade Runner of the Year
On Monday the Montana Gatorade Runner of the Year for boys high school cross country was announced and there was no surprise that this year’s winner is Ben Perrin of Flathead High School.
Perrin had a perfect senior season in the fall, winning all eight Montana races that he competed in including the class AA state championship which he won in Missoula with a time of 15:43. Perrin went on to place 42nd at the Nike Cross Northwest Regional Championships.
It’s just one more Gatorade honor for the Perrin family to boast about. Ben’s older brothers Zach Perrin and Jake Perrin combined for three of the Gatorade selections between track and cross country; Now the family has four of the prestigious awards. Ben will try to up that number to five with another outstanding track season this spring.
