Boys basketball: Ben Adams lifts No. 2 St. George’s into 2B district semifinal

Ben Adams scored 24 points with seven rebounds and six assists and St. George’s (19-2), ranked No. 2 in state 2B, handled Tekoa-Rosalia (14-8) 91-47 in a District 7 2B second round clash at West Valley HS on Thursday.

The Dragons plays Liberty in a semifinal on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves plays Davenport in a loser-out on Saturday.

Liberty 74, Chewelah 43: Isaac Ottmar scored 27 points and the Lancers (13-8) downed the Cougars (11-11).

Chewelah faces Kettle Falls in a loser-out on Saturday.

Colfax 68, Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 48: Carson Cloaninger scored 23 points and the No. 4-ranked Bulldogs (17-4) topped the Broncos (8-14).

Colfax plays Asotin in a semifinal on Tuesday, while LRS plays Reardan in a loser-out on Saturday.

Asotin 68, Northwest Christian 57: Jacob Elskamp scored 17 points and the Bulldogs (13-7) pulled away from the Crusaders (14-7).

NWC faces Wilbur-Creston in a loser-out on Saturday.
