Mount Spokane opening later

Mount Spokane State Park now opens at 7 a.m. The park used to open at 6:30, but in an effort to give snow plows more time, park managers pushed the start time back, Ranger Jessica Velardi said.

Snow plows were struggling to get the entire park plowed before the 6:30 opening and cars parked early in the morning were blocking the progress of the plowers. The new time applies to all parking lots in the park.
