Spokane police arrest 30-time felon again
Spokane police on Wednesday arrested a man with 30 prior felony convictions on suspicion of illegal firearm possession and identity theft.
Officers pursued the vehicle of Christopher D. Sheldon, 42, who then fled on foot, according to a news release. Sheldon ran through yards and jumped fences before hiding in a garage near Addison Street and Sanson Avenue.
Police took Sheldon into custody without further incident around 1:30 p.m., the news release said.
Police said they located a handgun and methamphetamine in Sheldon’s car after obtaining a search warrant.
Sheldon was booked into jail just before 4:45 p.m., jail records show. His bond was set at $50,550.
Sheldon’s prior convictions include burglary, robbery and attempted kidnapping.
