A single semi-truck rollover turned into a multi-car crash early Tuesday morning as icy conditions plagued Interstate 90 west of Ritzville.

The semi rolled just before 4 a.m. Tuesday about 25 miles west of Ritzville, blocking both lanes of eastbound traffic.

Multiple collisions occurred in the back-up area to the crash, according to Washington State Patrol.

Those collisions led to a probable hazmat fuel leak of approximately 150 gallons of diesel, WSP said. The eastbound lanes of I-90 were closed at exit 188 for a few hours before a lane of traffic opened just before 7 a.m.
