Somebody needs you: Skateboard or BMX bike, housewares and TV set requested

The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane.

If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated.

    A young man who is rebuilding his life from previously living on the streets is in need of a skateboard or BMX bike as a form of therapeutic relief for his anxiety. If you can help, contact Bonnie Willy of Frontier Behavior Health at (509) 838-4651, extension 373434.

    A young man, 18, who just got off the street, is in need of a microwave, dishware, a dresser and a couch. Contact Ethan Carolas of Volunteers of America Crosswalk at (509) 251-3034.

    A family of six that is starting over need five dressers, a television set, cooking pots and pans, dishes, towels, a vacuum cleaner and blankets. Contact Mary Jones of American Indian Community Center at (509) 535-0886.
